The purpose of this blog is to give men who are, or will become the leaders in their homes, a way to build each other up and better become Bereans. Proverbs 27:17 says that "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."
As we seek to sharpen each other , 2 Timothy 3:16 says," All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness". Each time you post, please include at least two scriptures that clearly back up what you are trying to say. May God speak to each one of us and perfect us through His Word.

Long hair defined (shame or not)
1 Corinthians 11:14
Doth not even nature it self teach you, that if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him.
The passage above pretty much says it all. Its a shame. The only time it would not be is in the case of a Nazerite vow. So the obvious question is how long does it have to be to be considered long? Obviously George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams and many more of this Countries founding fathers would have a different opinion than most men today.
My band director asked "how loud is loud?" Does it change in each dispensation of grace? Where is the definition to be found for how long hair should be. The other side of the coin is why do others wear their hair cut short like the Helenizers did? My wife and daughters have long hair down to the waist. To me, that is long hair. But what does the Bible say about that?
