Long hair defined (shame or not)

1 Corinthians 11:14
Doth not even nature it self teach you,  that if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him.

  1. The passage above pretty much says it all. Its a shame. The only time it would not be is in the case of a Nazerite vow. So the obvious question is how long does it have to be to be considered long? Obviously George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams and many more of this Countries founding fathers would have a different opinion than most men today.

    Shalom

  2. My band director asked "how loud is loud?" Does it change in each dispensation of grace? Where is the definition to be found for how long hair should be. The other side of the coin is why do others wear their hair cut short like the Helenizers did? My wife and daughters have long hair down to the waist. To me, that is long hair. But what does the Bible say about that?
